College Admission Seminar Empowers Students & Parents for the 2026 Intake

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, families filled The Standard Club in Johns Creek, GA for an afternoon of insight, strategy, and inspiration at the College Admission Seminar – 2026 Intake.

Co-hosted by Monte Jade Southeastern Science & Technology Association (MJSTASE), The Awesome Team Foundation, FASCA, and GFCBW, the seminar united students, parents, and community members with a shared goal—making the path to higher education more accessible and less stressful.

Equipping Students for Success

Lucie Vágnerová, PhD, captivated the student audience with practical, eye-opening strategies:

• Finding the right-fit colleges beyond just rankings

• Crafting a compelling, standout college essay

• Making applications shine with achievements and experiences that go beyond test scores

Empowering Parents in Mandarin

Parents attended a dedicated Mandarin-language session with Ting Chiu, CFEd, who offered valuable guidance on:

• Navigating scholarships, grants, and financial aid

• Supporting their children’s college goals without adding pressure or stress

Honored Guests and Community Leaders

The seminar welcomed John Bradberry, Mayor of Johns Creek, whose empowering address lit up the room and left families inspired. His message underscored the power of vision, unity, and commitment to education—not only as a pathway to college, but as the foundation for building stronger, more connected communities.

Also in attendance was Marilyn Margolis, RN, MN, CEO of Emory Johns Creek, showing her support for the community’s educational initiatives.
