EmpowerED 2026: Elevating Student Excellence in Financial Literacy and Leadership

On May 17th, The Awesometeam Foundation hosted the grand finale and celebration of the EmpowerED 2026 Annual Creative Competition at the Standard Club, bringing families, educators, and leaders together surrounded by an incredible gallery of student entries.

This incredible showcase was earned through hard work. Beginning April 5, students participated in foundational financial literacy sessions introducing essential money concepts. To showcase their future readiness, middle and high school students joined the competition, producing an impactful essay, video, and creative art to find their unique financial voices and build lasting confidence.

We were deeply honored to have Mayor John Bradberry spend the afternoon with us presenting the official awards. Seeing the hard work on display, he shared, "I’m looking forward to learning more, and I already got to learn quite a bit through the art gallery..."
