April marks the 22nd year of National Financial Literacy Awareness Month, and T.A.T. Foundation is proud to host its Annual Financial Literacy Awareness Campaign—celebrated through the power of artistic expression.
Competition Levels
This competition is open to elementary, middle school, high school, and college students up to 25 years old.

Content Alignment Policy
This is a contest focused on expressing financial literacy through creativity. We leverage the WSB 6 Foundational Workshops as the standard for proper judging. To ensure fairness and consistency, only concepts taught in these workshops are allowed. Submissions based on outside concepts or unrelated material will not be considered.
✅ All submissions must be original. Plagiarism or AI-generated content will result in disqualification.
✅ All entries must be submitted via the official online form.
✅ All concepts must originate from the contestant; parents or guardians may offer guidance but should not coach or create any part of the submission.
FINANCIAL LITERACY CLASSES AVAILABLE THROUGH ZOOM
YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
Weekday classes are conducted by WSB and are currently ongoing.

You may only choose any class from Workshops 1-6.

Registration and a selfie are not required for these sessions.
Please note that classes begin on March 30 to May 4 at 8 PM and will be held every Sunday.

General Submission Policy
Your art/content piece submission must include the following:
🔶 1. Artist Statement
Submit a 100–250-word statement explaining the meaning or reasoning behind your piece.
🎨 2. Art/Content Piece Requirements
Your creative piece must:

Address why financial literacy matters today.
-
Share your personal connection and story.
-
Relate to at least one of the WSB 6 Foundational Workshops/Classes.

Include citations if quoting material from the workshops.

Be engaging, creative, persuasive, and informative.
Use the 5 judges’ scoring guidelines as your reference.

Entry Piece Standards
Award Categories & Guidelines
Your piece will be evaluated by a panel of 3 judges. Please review the judges' scoring guidelines below.
Awards may include plaques, certificates, and gifts and cash prizes from our current prize pool of over $3,000.
Awarding of winners will take place in Jimmy Carter Financial Center or your designated Zoom location for out-of-town participants. **Please keep an eye on your email for the official results.
🎖 Participation Award for all the contestants. Thank you for being part of this competition; we so much appreciate your entry.
🥇 Major Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category per competition level. – Based on judges’ evaluation.

- Jimmy Carter Financial Center Choice Award: Picked by JCFC
- People’s Choice Award: Based on RSVP or online voting.
- Social Media Impact Award: Based on social media engagement.
How the Social Media Impact Award works:
This award honors participants who creatively engage their audience throughout their EmpowerED 2025 journey.
Points are based on likes, shares, and meaningful comments across all stages of participation, including:

Sharing why you joined the competition: Short video, 30 seconds to a minute

Documenting your creative process (photos, videos, or reflections)

Highlighting what you learned from the workshops: short video, at least 30 secs to1 min

Showcasing your final submission (more details to follow)

EmpowerED Magazine Feature Guidelines
Top entries will have the opportunity to be featured in the EmpowerED 2025 magazine (8.5 x 11"). Each will receive 1 free printed copy. Purchase is available to share with your friends and family
📸 Images to Submit:
• 1 professional headshot: Submitted at application
• 2 images with family, friends, or role models: Submit by April 20
• 2–3 behind-the-scenes shots working on your piece: Submit by April 25

The following written components will be included in the EmpowerED 2025 Magazine:

Creative Process Reflection (50–100 words) – Briefly describe the steps you took and the effort you put into creating your piece. (Submitted at final submission.)

Artist’s Statement (100–250 words) – Part of your final submission. This explains the meaning behind your piece and Financial Literacy Reflection.
Art Materials & Resources
This is your time to get creative and shine—use what you have, think outside the box, let your imagination lead the way, and let your voice shine!
Participants are responsible for providing their own art materials, tools, and supplies needed to create their submissions.
