Smart Money Camp Recap: Empowering Families, One Lesson at a Time

On June 28, the room was buzzing with energy, laughter, and learning as families came together for Smart Money Camp, proudly hosted by The Awesome Team Foundation.

This fun and practical experience was designed to teach essential financial skills to kids, teens, and parents alike—because we believe financial education should be a family affair.

We hosted three dynamic sessions tailored to different age groups:

Elementary kids explored the basics of money—learning how to save, spend, and make smart choices through creative, hands-on games.

Middle and high school students took a deeper dive into budgeting, earning, and even entrepreneurship, walking away with real-world tools they can apply now.

Parents engaged in honest conversations about money and gained strategies to raise financially confident children.

More than just a camp, this was a family mission—a day where learning and laughter came together to lay the foundation for a more empowered future.

We are incredibly grateful to our outstanding instructors—Mirasol Abogi, Jennifer Smith, Sam Sith, and Cindy Duong—for sharing their time, expertise, and heart.
