Hi my name is Joshua. I really love swimming, foot ball and soccer. I really want to learn about financial literacy. I live in Atlanta Georgia. I really love my state. We have circle, parade, movies, performances, etc. I have 3 brothers and 5 sisters, I want them to learn about financial literacy too. What I love about my siblings they take me to cool places like the malls and roller skating. I'm in the 3rd grade and my favorite subject is Math. Math is easy to me. My parent help me a lot. My dad got me a bike and my mom got me a PS5. I have a lot of friend in my class and they help me by working together on different assignments. Sometimes my classmate want to do homework together, but my parent won't let me. Some of the things I like to do is ride my bike and play with my friends.

My Aunt Ida enter me into the contest. So once I was enter into the contest I had to do what was required to win!!

I put in a lot of effort into my project so I can win the prizes. So My Aunt created the survey for the financial challenge. I was on spring break. I went out to the Beltline to do the surveys with my Aunt. She told me about the prizes I can win doing the survey. I was excited to win. I helped by Aunt to do the surveys on financial literacy. First, I practice on what to say to people about the financial literacy campaign. Once I got my speech together I started doing my own survey. I was at my Dad's house for spring break. My aunt and I would drive to the Beltline and we would stand near Kroger Grocery store on the Beltline. When I started to do the survey I felt a little nervous, but I got use to talking to people that I didn't know on the first day. We did 48 survey that first day. I had a survey, pen, my financial literacy button and a note pad so they could press down on the survey paper. I did the survey for 6 days of my spring break. I asked one person what kind of work did he do. He say he was a musician. He played the guitar. I thought that was cool because I want to learn how to play different instruments including the guitar. After several days of going to the Beltline and during the survey, I told my aunt I should do a video to enter into the contest for the financial literacy campaign. I filled out the application on line.

Artist Statement:

I think the financial literacy is important because if people didn't know about financial literacy, people will be homeless. You need money for your health. If you spend your money on things that you don't need and something happens to your health, you won't have enough money to take care of your medical needs. I shared the workshops with people so they can be financially literate so they don't have to work themselves to death and retire poor. I told everyone to go to the workshops, they happen everyday Monday thru Friday at 2pm, 8pm and 10pm. The workshops are very important. The concepts of saving your money by using coupons, and don't use electric all day because it can increase the electric bill. When you are a child you have less responsibility. When you are teenager, you have to drive yourself to school and work. When you are an adult you have to pay bills, buy food, go to work, pick kids up from school.
